An information for the Factory Reset issue on the MX-1

We regret to inform you that there is a possibility of the MX-1 being not fully completed the Factory Reset before shipped out from our factory.
Please update the MX-1 to the latest version first and then execute the Factory Reset according to the procedure explained below.

Note:
All settings in MX-1 are initialized after executing the factory reset.
You can create backup of the MX-1's internal settings and restore it as described later.

MX-1 System Update ( 2015/3/20 )
Update the MX-1 to the latest version according to the procedure written in the MX-1 System Program.

Factory Reset
  1. While holding down the [ RECALL ] button, turn on the power.
    The display indicates " rSt " and the [ START/STOP ] button blinks.
  2. Press the [ START/STOP ] button to execute the factory reset.
  3. When the display indicates " CNP ", turn the MX-1's power off,then on again.


Data backup / restore
What you will need to backup/restore the data of MX-1
  • MX-1
  • AC Adaptor
  • USB cable
  • A computer with a USB connector ( Windows 8 / 7 / Vista, Mac OS X )

Backup
  1. Hold down Pad [ 1 ] and switch on the power.
  2. Connect your computer to the MX-1's USB port via USB cable.
  3. Open the "MX-1" drive folder on your computer.
  4. Copy the all files in the "BACKUP" folder to your computer.
  5. After copying is completed, eject the "MX-1" drive according to the following procedure.
    Windows 8 / 7 / Vista
    Right-click on the "MX-1" icon in "My Computer" and execute "Eject."
    Mac OS
    Drag the "MX-1" icon to the Trash icon in the Dock.
  6. Turn the MX-1 power off.

Restore
  1. Hold down Pad [ 1 ] and switch on the power.
  2. Connect your computer to the MX-1's USB port via USB cable.
  3. Open the "MX-1" drive folder on your computer.
  4. Copy the all files you've already backed up into the "RESTORE" folder.
  5. After copying is completed, eject the "MX-1" drive according to the following procedure.
    Windows 8 / 7 / Vista
    Right-click on the "MX-1" icon in "My Computer" and execute "Eject."
    Mac OS
    Drag the "MX-1" icon to the Trash icon in the Dock.
  6. Turn the MX-1 power off.
