VT-4 Factory Files


This contains the default factory files on the VT-4.
Restoring these to the VT-4 lets you return the unit to its factory-default settings.
You can also use a restore operation to return only desired variations and scenes to their factory defaults.

Getting the update file
The downloaded file is an archive in zip format. After downloading it, expand the file.
When expansion finishes, a "vt4_preload" folder appears.
The "vt4_preload" folder contains settings files (.PRM).


Restore operation
Be very sure never to disconnect the USB cable while the restore operation is in progress.The restore operation for the VT-4 is carried out using USB power.
* The restore operation for the VT-4 cannot be performed using battery power.

Follow the steps below to restore the unarchived files to the VT-4.
NOTE
* You must not do the following operations on restoring. Doing so might make your computer freeze, or might result in the loss of all of the VT-4's data.
  • Turn off the VT-4's power.
  • Disconnect the USB cable.
  • Allow your computer to enter suspend (standby) or hibernate mode, restart it, or shut it down.

  1. Set the [ POWER ] switch on the VT-4 to "OFF."
  2. Connect the VT-4 and the computer using a USB cable.
  3. Hold down the [ VOCODER ] button and set the [ POWER ] switch to "ON."
  4. The "VT-4" drive appears.
    With Windows
    Within My Computer (or Computer), open "VT-4" (or Removable Disk).
    With macOS / OS X
    On the desktop, open the "VT-4" icon.
  5. Copy the files to restore (.PRM) to the RESTORE folder (by dragging them).
  6. After the copy has been completed, unmount or remove the drive on your computer.
    Leave the USB cable connected.
    With Windows
    Right-click on the "VT-4" icon in My Computer (or the "Removable Disk (*:)" icon) and execute "Eject."
    With macOS / OS X
    Drag the "VT-4" icon to the Trush icon in the Dock.
  7. Press the [ MANUAL ] button.
  8. When the flashing button goes dark, set the [ POWER ] switch on the VT-4 to "OFF."
  9. The changed effect variations and scenes are available at the next startup.


* To return all settings to their factory-default values, carry out the procedure in "Restoring the Factory Settings (Factory Reset)."
