Bio

With over 25 years of performance experience, Ritesh is one of the finest musicians to hail from the capital city of New Delhi. Starting with Sitar in 1991 winning inter school competitions, he switched to keyboards playing with several rock bands through the 90s. His formal music education at Delhi School of Music led to successful completion of Grade-8 in Piano and Theory of Music in 2002. His passion for Jazz earned him a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, Boston in 2000, He led his jazz band 'Bluefunk' till 2006 and got back to playing with a Rock band again in 2011 playing Keyboards with Bandish. Over the years he has performed with several bands, ensembles, solo performers at many prestigious events such as performance with the Ao Church Ensemble for the President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and performance at the Sirifort Auditorium with Indian National Youth Orchestra that staged the Italian Operetta "Cavalleria Rusticana".

Ritesh also founded one of the first private western music schools in New Delhi in 2002. He went on to establish Bridge Music Academy in 2009, which is one of the leading chains of Music Academy in North India. The Academy currently has 4 branches in Delhi/NCR and Chandigarh. His teaching experience of over 17 years enabled him to author an innovative new system of mastering rhythms called the Essential Rhythm Concepts that will be published early 2016.

Apart from being much in demand as a senior music educator, Ritesh currently holds many key positions in the industry including Chief Executive of Bridge Music Academy, Academic Consultant for Music and Rock&Pop with Trinity College London, Senior Music Consultant with Music Basti (NGO Working with children at risk through music) and actively performs with Jive Can (Modern Blues) and Saga (Classic Rock).
